The Slow Lane Award

To laugh or get angry is an issue I have had to deal with all of my life. Driving is such a big part of my life. I drive a minimum of 35,000 miles a year. I’m witnessing more than ever reckless driving habits. Is our driving etiquette on the verge of extinction? Are the stupidity and the anger taking over our roads? I think the Police are so busy dealing with idiots, that they can’t possibly catch a fraction of them. Laughter has taken over my frustration of dealing with this very serious problem. I have invented the SLOW LANE AWARD. The SLOW LANE AWARD is a new award that I will be handing out on a regular basis, due to my regular driving habit. Let’s laugh together as I give each and every idiot I run across an award. Here is the first award.

I’m driving 79 south bound, with my Husband. My Husband is behind a truck and immediately, the truck in front of us veers instantly to the right lane. To our shock there is a Toyota Matrix stopped dead in the left lane. We immediately did the same thing as the truck; so we can avoid an accident. My Husband picks up the cell phone to call 911, to warn them of the danger the women was in. “Hello, I’m on 79 south bound and a Woman is broken down in the left lane on the Sewickley Bridge. The State Trooper informs my Husband “She’s on the other line, she is not broken down; she said no one will let her in the right lane, so she refuses to move until someone does.” The officer asked my Husband “is she moving at all? And my Husband said, “Nope, she’s at a dead stop.” The Trooper said, “We’re on our way, this will be a good one.” God Bless our Troopers. Here is the first award.
